Cancellation (or more likely postponement) of Tuesday’s scheduled game at Reedsburg Area Community Arena (RACA) delays the opening of the Sauk Prairie Eagles’ varsity hockey season a little further.
While most varsity teams have played multiple games following a late-November season opening, the Eagles have still yet to suit up, other than in practice. Tuesday’s game was originally scheduled to be the team’s opener.
Now, the first game is scheduled for Friday as the Eagles make its shortest trip of the season to Pierce Park Pavilion in Baraboo for a Friday night contest.
First home game for the Eagles will be Tuesday when the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers pay a visit.
The Cheavers meanwhile will stay on home ice, entertaining the same Golden Beavers on Friday night, then getting a visit from Baraboo/Portage Thunderbirds on Thursday (December 17).
