The Dells Ducks exploded for nine goals and its second win in three games to open play at the Islanders Hockey Club Showcase at Merrimack College in East Andover, MA Friday (Nov. 19) morning.

The Ducks brushed the Wooster Oilers, from the Great Lakes Division aside in its first of four weekend contests taking the game to its foe to the tune of a 55-44 edge on the shot clock.

The Ducks have a history with the Oilers going back to its Minnesota Junior Hockey League days, including a playoff series win in one of the Ducks’ best seasons.
Despite a 14-10 edge in shots in the opening period, the Ducks trailed 1-0 heading to the middle period and the Oilers added another before the Ducks responded with eight-straight goals, three in the second and five more in the third before Wooster finally collected its third.
Ten different Ducks picked up at least a point, including Bryce Jacobsen (‘02/Deforest, WI) with four goals and two assists. Jacob Cartland (’02/Mukwonago, WI) added a goal and three helpers, Jayden Tkaczuk (’02/Channahon, IL) and Jack Kopfstein (’05/Vista, CA) each setting up three as well.

Seth Stoutenburg (‘03/Roseville, MN scored his first goal as a Duck, adding an assist, and Caden Glamkowski (‘04/St. Charles, IL) also collected a goal and assist.

Also firing their first goals as a Duck were Dawson Blue (’03/Norrth Richland Hills, TX) and Zachary Windom (’05/Allen, TX). Kai Neumaier (’03/St. Charles, TX) and Gage Senio (’04/Red Deer, AB) added assists.

Anthony Falzone (‘03/St. Charles, IL) kicked out 41of 44shots to garner his second win of the season.
The win is the third of the season for the Ducks, equaling last season’s total and leaving the team two points shy of last season’s total.
The second day at Merrimack will be tougher and for sure busier, beginning at 8:50 a.m. CST when they face off against the Cincinnati Cyclones, a first-year team, also in the Great Lakes Division and led by former Hudson Havoc forward Drake Barnish, an Ohio native who enters the game as the league’s points leader with 29 goals and 55 points in his first 22 games.
The Ducks will return to the ice at 5:05 p.m. against the Potomac Patriots from the Southeast Division, a team the Ducks have never played before.
On Saturday, the Ducks will wrap up its weekend and its pre-Thanksgiving schedule with a 10:50 a.m. puck drop against the Jersey Whalers.
