Dells Ducks team owner Shaun Falzone recently introduced the appointment of a Motor City area pair that will take the reins for the next chapter of Ducks Hockey.

Assuming control of the team for the upcoming season are a tandem of Logan Wilt, 26 from Westland, MI who will take over the team’s new Head Coach along with Chase Crawshaw, 25 from Shelby Twp., MI who will wear a pair of hats as the team’s General Manager as well as an Assistant Coach for Wilt.
The pair were recently in the area to meet with team co-owner Shaun Falzone and took a few minutes to sit down to an interview together.
Wilt led the Gamblers to a 24-17-1-2 record this past season, good enough for third place in their division. The team exited the playoffs following a pair of thrillers against the Decatur Blaze, both one-goal losses, the first one ending in overtime.
He also helped the Premier Division team to a 19-20-3-2 record and a fifth-place finish. The team earned an upset two-game sweep against the Cougars before finally bowing out in division semis against MJDP, part of the Metro Jets program.
There is a bit of a Dells Ducks connection for Wilt who played a half-season with the Ironwood Yoopers in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League in 2014-15. The Yoopers were eliminated by the Ducks in the opening playoff round that season as the Ducks were on a Bush Cup mission.
After a couple of seasons with the Motor City Hawks, Wilt attended Schoolcraft College but left in his second season to finish his junior career with the Cheyenne Stampede in the Western States Hockey League. For e Kenai River Brown Bears and Lone Star Brahmas of the Tier 2 North American Hockey League and this past season he was on the bench with Wilt for the Gamblers.
Recruiting is among the toughest chores for a Coach and GM but they seem used to the grind, filling not one, but two full rosters for the Gamblers last season.
They have already made some impressive signings, including Luke Thomilson (‘06/Edwardsville, IL) who put up 55 goals and 95 points in just 28 games with Edwardsville High School.
